Follow the Yellow Brick Road !

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It's time for a new Challenge at My Time to Craft and this fortnight the theme is Inspired by a Film

As a kid my absolute favourite film (and still to this day) was The Wizard of Oz, it was so magical and always the highlight of Christmases growing up. Unfortunately my hubby and daughter don't share my enthusiasm for it but luckily my granddaughter absolutely loves it, she is 4 yrs old and for the past 18 mths she has watched it virtually every day !
As luck would have it I recently came across a fab blog called Dearie Dolls which is full of wonderful digis free for crafters to use and while I was looking through the tons of images I found this one and knew I had to use it for Freya's birthday card this year.

I coloured the image with Promarkers using a bit of artistic licence with Dorothy as my granddaughter has blonde hair and loves polka dots !
The papers are Pink Petticoat and the little resins are from Ebay yrs ago.

Pop over to the blog and check out my talented team mates gorgeous creations and we are looking forward to seeing your fabulous entries too :)

That's all for now,

Simple Daisies

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well and enjoying some better weather it has been gorgeous here this week !
My card today is a CAS one that I made for my stash, I am hoping to to do a couple of fairs soon so I'm trying to stock up with some different styles to sort different tastes.

I used my stitched squares dies to cut the squares from pink card and papers from Anna Marie Designs pad, then cut the daisies from matching papers and popped up on the squares with glue gel.

I embossed some lines on the card blank for a bit of interest and stamped an LOTV sentiment and finished with 3 large pearls.

I would like to enter this in the following Challenges:

CAS on Sunday - Mother's Day
CASology - Parent

That's all for now,

MAWTT #69 - Springtime

Hi Everyone,
Once again I'm very late with this post, my apologies to Wendy and my lovely teammates I'm such a rubbish blogger lately :(

I'm here with my DT card for the latest Challenge at Moving Along With The Times

The theme for this Challenge was chosen by Diane and it's a lovely one - Springtime...let's face it we have all been waiting for a bit of Spring haven't we !

I used a preloved LOTV stamp that I bought from Ebay but it wasn't labelled with a name so if anyone can help with that ? I coloured it with Promarkers and then matted onto lilac card. The paper is from Anna Marie Designs.
Sentiment is Clearly Besotted and I just finished with some die cut butterflies and clear gems.

We look forward to seeing all of your lovely creations so pop over to the MAWTT blog and join in !

That's all for now

Butterfly Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I just about managed to come up with an entry for this month's Butterfly Challenge run by the lovely Mrs A.

I have used 2 elements this time Teal and 2 Identical items (my butterflies).

I started by stamping the Indigo Blu 'Stylised Flowers' in Versamark on some teal card and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I cut a circle aperture out of white card which I had cut to the same size as my card base and stuck that down over the top then stamped the sentiment which is from Clearly Besotted 'Many Mini Messages' set onto a snippet of black card and again embossed in white. Finished off with my 2 little butterflies with some tiny teal pearls.

That's all for now,

For my card I have used a cute digi from Di's Digi Designs called Daffodil Bunny which I printed onto hammered card and coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Pink Petticoat. The flowers are a Die'sire die.
Computer generated sentiment courtesy of Hannelie aka Desert Diva and I filled it in with Promarkers.

My Time to Craft - Challenge #368

Good Afternoon,

A new Challenge has started today at My Time to Craft and this fortnight we would love to see your Boxes or Bags with Matching Tag !

Now me and measuring/measurements do not see eye to eye lol and whenever I try making anything resembling a box the results are never good so this fortnights challenge really was a challenge for me ;)
I put it off as long as possible but finally a couple of days ago I put my big knickers on and thought that's it I'm doing this ( a bit like how Edmund Hillary must have felt when he was about to set off up Mount Everest I'm sure hehehe). I spent most of the day Thursday watching You Tube videos looking for a box that didn't require any cutting as this is where I usually come unstuck, I came across Pootles blog/videos and found some she had demo'ed using 6x6 paper and I finally settled on this cute little milk carton.

I used a sheet of Stamping Up 6 x 6 paper that was part of the goodies I won in a giveaway on the lovely Rebecca's blog aka Mellymoo Papercrafting which I have been saving for a special project. I absolutely love the colour and it goes with my colour scheme in my craft room so now my little milk carton can sit on my shelf to remind me of beating my phobia ! Ok phobia is a bit dramatic but you get my gist of how proud of my little box I am :)

I followed this project video here  to make the little carton and used a heart peg from Hobbycraft on the top, I cut a little tag with a Clearly Besotted die and the flower is a Joycrafts die. I have lots of these little resin flowers in my stash so I added one to the centre of the flower then stamped 'Hugs' from the Many Mini Messages set from Clearly Besotted to finish.

The finished carton is the perfect size for a nail polish or lip balm stocking filler.

Pop over to the blog and check out my teamie's fab creations and we look forward to seeing your entries

That's all for now, I will be back with my second post of the day later

Super Dad Alf

Happy Easter my lovely crafty friends !

I'm here early today with an 'Alf' card, he hasn't had an outing for a while and I was missing him haha

I used some starry paper I found in my bit box matted onto navy card, Alf is coloured with Promarkers and I have added some punched stars in matching colours.
The sentiment comes with the image from DigiStamp Boutique (they have a sale on at the moment too) This is a 7x7 card.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:

Cardz 4 Guyz #191 - Superheroes
Crafty Creations Challenge #363 - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments 03 - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations March Challenge - Any Occasion
I love Promarkers #355 - Things that Fly ...well superheroes do fly don't they ;)

Hope you are having a lovely Easter weekend with not toooo much chocolate (who am I kidding there is no such thing as too much choccy lol)
We are hoping to have an Easter egg hunt in the garden later for Freya providing the rain holds off of course,
