Wedding Season

Hi Everyone,

I have needed to make quite a few wedding cards lately but I thought I would share the one I made on saturday for a wedding reception we were attending that night. It was a civil wedding so none of the usual images were suitable, eventually I decided to use one of the LOTV Statement sentiments.

I then attempted a 'frou frou' card as I call it Lol, now I love to see cards with gorgeous flower arrangements, die cuts etc like Sharon's, Kat's and Mandy's for example however it's not a skill I have mastered and I usually end up being disappointed with my efforts. I wasn't too unhappy this time but I think I will always feel a little out of my comfort zone. That's the great thing about crafting though isn't it, trying different things.

It is an 8x8 card and I used papers from tACTile Studios, Pink Petticoat and Anna Marie, dies are Joycraft and Impression Obsession and flowers from Wild Orchid Craft.

That's all for now,

Another day, Another Odd Dog !

Hi Everyone,

My card today uses another Odd Dog image from LOTV...this one is 'Balloon'

I made a little A6 card this time, I had previously printed this image onto hammered card so I coloured with my promarkers and added Wink of Stella to the balloon. The bold red gingham paper is another magazine freebie and I just matted that and the image onto black card. I hand cut the flag banner and stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted.
I love the Odd Dog images as they are so quick to colour and he is so cute !

I'm entering this into the Pink Gem Challenge #198 - Animals

That's all for now,

Odd Dog

Hi Everyone,

Back to share another card using one of the LOTV Odd Dog images, this one is 'Big Flower'

I used some freebie paper from inside this months Quick Cards mag, sentiment is also free with the magazine this month I just doodled the stitching around the edge. Some tiny XCut punched butterflies finishes it off.

I'd like to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

That's all for now,

Space Hopper Zoe

Hi Everyone,

I'm very late blogging today or you could say early Lol, I have had a really busy day with doctors appointments, blood tests etc but I thought I would pop in to share this fun card with you.

I have used DigiStamp Boutique image 'Spacehopper Zoe'

The papers were loose freebie ones but I think were Nitwits, I added some Memory Box die cut butterflies, pearls and ribbon from my stash. Sentiments made on my pc.

As soon as I saw this image I had to buy it as it brought back memories of my Space Hopper when I was a kid...I had a red one and I loved it. Who else had one as a child and what colour was yours ? Lol

That's all for now, be back later

Summer Meadow

Good morning everyone,

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend, I'm just popping in to show you a little 5 x 5 card I made yesterday afternoon.

I cut a square of hammered card a bit smaller than the card base and blended Scattered Straw Distress Ink all over it, I like using hammered card as it gives a bit of texture and also because it is a bit more forgiving if you are like me very much a novice at blending ;) Then I stamped the meadow grasses stamp in Memento Black, this is where having a stamp tool would have come in handy (it's on my wish list) as it didn't stamp totally even towards the bottom of the image so after I had matted it onto a piece of deep red card I added the strip of ribbon just to cover that part. The card looks slightly orange in the picture for some reason but it is actually an identical match to the ribbon, punched a tiny butterfly out of a snippet of the card and added a single large black pearl.
Sentiment - Clearly Besotted.

Thank you for all of your lovely comments recently, I really do appreciate them so much

Two for One

Hi Everybody,

My first card to share with you did originally end up in the bin !

I used the stemmed flower from Penny Black set 'Petal Party' to stamp in Versamark onto Kraft then heated with white embossing powder. Started to colour with my Illustrator pens and that was where it started to go wrong lol,  I was colouring the petals and went over the embossing and it immediately stained so I had no option to then carry on colouring over the white embossed outline. When I finished I kept looking at it and thought no start again and binned it.

I then went to make a coffee and when I came back to my craft room about half hour later I saw it sitting on top of the bin and thought you know what that looks quite cool ! So I fished it back out and put it with this hot pink gingham paper scrap I had sitting on the desk. I covered the flower head with Wink of Stella and its really sparkly in RL. The sentiment is Clearly Besotted.

My next card is a christening card that someone requested, I used the LOTV image 'Baby Christening'

I used an Anna Marie 7x7 card blank and Pink Petticoat papers, I coloured the image with Promarkers and added a computer generated sentiment. Ribbon and pearls from my stash.

That's all for now,

Hugs, Kaz xxx

Rubbish Week !

Hi Everyone,

Well I'm finally here after a rubbish few days, my sciatica has been playing up so haven't been getting much sleep and then to top it all on Tuesday my elderly PC died quite literally with a bang :( Well as some of you know I am a complete computer numpty and so the answer to the question was everything backed up is devastatingly no.....so I am mourning the loss of every single digi image, digi papers that I have bought over the last 5 years (I think I may need counselling lol) and have spent the last 24 hrs trying to get my head around Windows 10 !
I managed to borrow my daughters tablet so that I could still check out your lovely blogs and commented on as many as I could but I couldn't work out how to load photos so haven't been able to share anything until today.

So because of all of that I have found myself making cards at 4am the last couple of days so I have a few to show you over the next few days, luckily I have quite a lot of digi images printed off ready for colouring so I have some to keep me going until I can start collecting them again and this time I will definitely learn how to prevent them from being lost.

Anyway if you are still here after all of that  ðŸ˜€ I do have a card to show you,

For this card I used some lovely new stash and a freebie stamp from one of the card magazines that again has been languishing in my 'to use' box for probably 18 months. I stamped the image onto super smooth card and coloured with my promarkers and illustrator pens, I wanted quite a muted look to go with the gorgeous paper from my new Anna Marie 'Bliss' pad ...I say paper but they are actually 250gsm so really good quality sturdy papers. I doodled a simple edge around the image with a fineline pen and then matted onto black card. Everything was then adhered to a 7x7 blank, again from Anna Marie. The sentiment came with the floral stamp and I just finished off with pearls from my stash.

That's all for now, see you soon

Winter Sparkle

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, I had a lovely day crafting today fan going full blast !

The card I have to show you is using a lovely 'Stamps by Chloe' stamp which I'm ashamed to say I bought about 2 years ago and have never used, I don't know why as it is a gorgeous stamp and lovely quality too.

Anyway here is my card

I stamped the snowflake wreath with versamark and then embossed with Wow Totally Teal embossing glitter which is so sparkly but you can't make it out in the pic unfortunately. The paper is a magazine freebie from years ago and I mounted the wreath onto some silver mirri and added tiny pearls to the centres of the snowflakes. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

Thats all for now, will be back tomorrow with something non Christmassy :)

Happy Penguins

Hi Everyone,

Its warmed up again here in Kent so I spent the morning making Christmas cards !

I have a CAS one to show you today, I'm really enjoying making this type of card at the moment (hope you are not bored of seeing them)

This image is DigiStamp Boutique 'Happy Penguins' and they do look really happy don't they.... sooo cute ! I didn't realise until I uploaded the photo that it was slightly out of focus, however the upside to that is that you can see the sparkle on their hats better. I used Diamond Stickles.
The sentiment comes with the image and I just mounted it on some ruby red card and added a bit of bakers twine from Hobbycraft.

That's all for now, back tomorrow with another Christmas card ;)

Thanks Teacher !

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well, sorry that I didn't get to post or comment over the weekend our daughter had plans so we had the little horror to stay :-) ....I use the term horror as a term of endearment we love her to bits but she really is a little horror at the moment too... 3 going on 15 !
As I keep telling my daughter though she really is just like her mum was at that age haha, but suffice to say she wears us out and although I planned to do some blogging in the evenings I was asleep in front of the Tv by 9 !

Anyway, I had a request for a couple of Teacher cards and here they are...

I used the super cute DigiStamp Boutique Rosie and Dan images here they are on offer at the moment too which I coloured with Promarkers. The A+ paper was in a digital pack I got from Sassy Designs when they rebranded as TACtile Studio, they were selling packs for 30 cents each I don't know what that is in sterling but pennies !
I didn't want to use loads of layers so I printed the main images off quite large and mounted onto a thin black mat. This was then added to a Kraft card base.
I found the little resin apples in my stash.
