2 More Sleeps !!

Hi Everyone,

Yep only 2 more sleeps until the big day....is everyone ready ??
Food shopping today for the fresh bits you have to leave until the last minute to get, hopefully it won't be too manic but I think that's probably wishful thinking Lol

Anyway I have another Christmas card to share with you today,

I used LOTV's 'James wrapped in Tinsel' digi stamp for this card coloured with my new Illustrator pens, I love these pens and they have a lovely brush nib but I need more practise, I have tried to make James look 'furry' but it hasn't turned out quite how I hoped. I used some sparkle gel pen on the tinsel and baubles which you can just about make out in the pic I think.....really sparkly in real life though !
Matted onto Kraft card and some Trimcraft paper that was free in a magazine. The lovely sentiment is LOTV I love the font on these sentiments and the snowflake die is Clearly Besotted.

I still have a few Xmas cards to share with you but just in case I don't manage to get back before the big man in the red suit arrives I would just like to wish all of my lovely blog friends a truly wonderful Christmas, hope you get everything you want from Santa ;) lots of crafty goodies hopefully and to say thank you for sticking with me this year as I know I have been a pretty rubbish blogger but I promise to try harder next year !

Big Hugs,
Kaz xx

Santa Claus is Coming to Town !

Hello Everyone,

Well I think I am finally catching up with everything, Presents still to wrap and a couple more cards to make (hubby's and my in-laws) and probably a few more tags but phew other than that I think we are sorted !
I know I'm not alone in saying every year...Next year I am going to be more organised...yeah right hahaha

I have a Christmas card to share with you today, I had this digi image on my pc but it has no name on it, I had thought it was LOTV but I can't find it on their site so I have no idea where it is from...if anyone can help with that I would be grateful.

Anyway onto my card

I have used some Pink Petticoat paper matted onto Ruby Red card from PMD, Joycraft die-cut Trees and a Joanna Sheen snowflake. The image is coloured with Promarkers and my new Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens which I love, I have added some sparkle gel pen to the fur on Santa's jacket and hat but you can't see it in the pic. I had such a problem with shadow when trying to photograph this card and then it ended up a wee bit bright instead :(
The sentiment on this card is from LOTV.

That's all for now, thank you for looking and if you have time to leave a comment it will make my day !

Thinking of You

Good Afternoon,
I have a couple of Thinking of You/Sympathy cards to show you today,

For the card on the left I used an IndigoBlu stamp and the one on the right is an Inkylicious stamp.
I used Seedless Preserve Distress Ink for the background and just matted onto black card. The sentiments were from 2 different CB sets.

Hope you are all having a crafty weekend,
Hugs, Kaz xx

21st Birthday !

Good evening Everyone,

Not my 21st unfortunately lol .....oh to be that age again ;)  No I have a 21st card to show you that I was asked to make for a friend's son.

Another very simple card....Mr Mojo is still in holiday mode !

I just stamped the Happy Birthday from a CB set in different Versacolor inks then matted onto some bright blue Papermill card. You can't really tell from the pic but the 21 was embossed with clear powder. The number stamps and glitter paper are Hobbycraft.

Hoping to get lots done this week for my upcoming craft fair....fingers crossed.

Thanks for looking today,
Hugs,

Back at last !

Hi Everyone,

I'm so glad to finally be posting again, I have missed it but to be perfectly honest I have made nothing worth showing lately my crafty mojo has been for a major walkabout !
We sadly lost a close family friend last month in tragic circumstances and that has contributed a bit to my lack of posting too.

But I need to shape up and find motivation from somewhere as I realised the other day that the craft fair I booked in for months ago is now suddenly only 2 weeks away !!

I have a wedding card to show you today that was commissioned by a friend recently

Not a great photo I'm afraid, I find white on white really difficult to photograph and it kept looking like the groom was standing there on his own bless him.... Lol
As you can see its quite a simple card, I kept it to white and cream as the wedding colour scheme was a secret.

It's an 8 x 8 card, I cut a piece of PMD smooth white card and scored lines using my hougie board to add some texture/interest, matted onto cream card. I used Wild Rose Studio and Joanna Sheen dies and added some tiny punched flowers. I went over the whole of the bride with my Wink of Stella pen to add some sparkle and added tiny gems to the flowers and some gorgeous organza ribbon. The sentiment was computer generated.

I was also asked to make a bouquet charm for the bride as her son lives in Australia and was unable to be there with her on her special day, apparently she was moved to tears when she received it and Skyped her son on the morning of the wedding to show him he was with her in a way.

Hope you have all been having a lovely weekend despite the grotty weather (more crafting time ?)
Thanks for looking and if you leave a comment thank you so much they are hugely appreciated,

Hugs,
Kaz xx

Super Striker

Hi Everyone,
Back for my second post of the day to show a card this time,

I have used LOTV's 'Super Striker' for my card which I stamped onto watercolour card and then coloured with distress inks. I kept the card very simple with pink petticoat papers and some twine. I used a Spellbinders Labels One die to cut out the image.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Kaz xx

North, South, East and West !

Good Morning Everyone,

I will be back later with a card but I wanted to just quickly pop in with a couple of pictures of the wonderful weather vane my super talented hubby (not that I'm in any way biased of course) has made for a dear friend of ours to cheer her up as she has been having a tough time recently.

He wanted it to be a bit reminiscent of the old seaside postcards hence the boobs and rather large bottom ! She absolutely loved it and it definitely cheered her up haha

Well thats all for now I will be back later to share a card,
Hugs,
Kaz xx

21st Birthday

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of cards to show you today that I made for our daughters 21st recently, for the card from me and her dad I used the LOTV 'Jasmine Texting' as it reminded me so much of her...we are always saying that her phone is superglued to her hand !... Lol

The papers I used are from Etsy, the number dies are Stamping Up and I cut them from kraft and then gave a liberal coating of Wink of Stella which actually shows up quite well in the photo. The sentiments are LOTV too and the flowers Sue Wilson dies...I wish in hindsight I had left the flowers off as they dont look right :( but she liked it anyway.

The next card I made for our little granddaughter to give her mum....

I used a Digistamp Boutique image 'Mothers Love' the little girl is a bit older than my granddaughter as she is only 2 but I just loved the image when I saw it so decided to go with it anyway. I merged the image with another DB digi 'Flower Border'.........I am a bit embarrassed about my colouring on this card as it all looks a bit flat...that grass is atrocious ! I hadn't done any colouring in months and clearly need a bit of practice to get back into it.

The papers are Etsy and Tactile Studio, the sentiment computer generated, I added a seam binding bow and some Memory Box butterflies.

I have been spending this week sorting out my craft room as it had got completely out of hand while I have been laid up, because its the first room off the kitchen hubby tends to come in the back door into the kitchen and then anything he has brought into the house (usually from his shed/man cave) that doesn't have a home elsewhere tends to get dumped in my craft room.
Well now I am up and about again I have turfed it all back out and he is now barred from my room haha. Once I have it all sorted I will show a couple of pictures.

Thats all for now, thanks for looking

Hugs,
Kaz xx

I'm Still Here .....

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe I have been away so long :( or that I still have some followers left, thank you so much for sticking with me I'm hoping to be posting regularly from here on !

A lot has happened since I last blogged, got a shock diagnosis of borderline diabetes when I developed a very painful problem with both legs where they swelled dramatically and broke out into blister type sores which resulted in my having to have my legs dressed  twice a week for six weeks.
I have been very down and unable to craft at all due to not being able to sit with my legs down for any period of time, anyway after a stern talking to by my doctor I gave myself a massive kick up the backside and decided things had to change and started eating healthily etc and 4 weeks in I have lost 1 stone 4 lbs which I'm thrilled with (I have many more to go but this time I am feeling really determined that I will get there) and am starting to be able to do some exercise now my legs are almost healed.

I was thinking to help keep me motivated I might do a separate page to keep updated with my journey so that my lovely blog friends can choose to read it or not as I don't want to put anyone off looking at my blog because of waffle about things other than my cardmaking...what do you think ?

Anyway after said waffle Lol I do have a card to show you that I made before I became poorly for my friends wedding (the same friend I did the invitations for)

It was an 8 x 8 card and I used my Joanna Sheen bride and groom dies which I gave a coating of Wink of Stella, I scored the lines on the background with my hougie board and just added the joycraft heart stem and paper roses bought from Ebay.
This was the first time I had ever made a predominantly white on white card and I really love how it turned out, I will definitely be trying it again.

Off now to catch up on some of your wonderful blogs, I'm so glad to be back I have missed everyone !
Thanks for reading,

Hugs,

Gone Fishing

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Woohoo twice in one day ! Thought I would pop on to share my last card from last weekend's crafty session....then I can start catching up with this weeks makes Lol

I love Digistamp Boutiques character images... this is Ralph - Birthday Fishes. He is coloured with Promarkers/Spectrum noirs and the papers are from LOTV. I added some card candy type embellies that have been in my stash since I first started cardmaking I think, I just thought they went with the papers well.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and for some reason looks absolutely huge in this photo.

Hope you are all having a fab weekend, unfortunately we have rain but that's ok as it means more time in the craft room ;)

Bye for Now,
Hugs,
Kaz x

Snowflakes in Spring

Good Morning,
I have a couple of Christmas cards to share with you today, the first one is made using a freebie snowflake background stamp from a magazine.

All I did was stamp sideways onto a pale blue panel using white pigment ink then switched the stamp around and stamped again so that opposite corners matched. I then stamped a Clearly Besotted sentiment with white pigment ink onto a strip of vellum and heat embossed with clear powder. I wrapped the sentiment strip around the panel then fixed the panel to an A6 blank. I really liked how this turned out and think I will probably do some other variations of it for my christmas box.

For my second card I used a sheet of Pink Petticoat (now sadly closed) paper which I just matted onto some pink card after printing a sentiment also from PP straight onto the paper. I mounted this onto a 6 x 6 card blank and added a couple of die-cut snowflakes and pearls.

Thats all for now,
Hugs,
Kaz x

Catching Up....

Good Morning,
I had a lovely morning yesterday with my grandaughter, she seems to have shot up all of a sudden as I hadn't seen her for a couple of weeks. She started nursery 3 days a week about a fortnight ago and she absolutely loves it, she was full of chatter yesterday telling Nanny everything they do there and all about her new friend Charlie. The nursery staff  tell my daughter that they are besotted with each other and hold hands all day lol even while they are eating lunch ....they are nearly 3 !! Bless them :)

Anyway I have a couple of cards I made at the weekend to show you, the first is a Christmas card....

Very simple and quick this one, I made a top folding A6 blank first, then on another piece of white card which I had already printed with a Pink Petticoat sentiment I stamped the gorgeous reindeer with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with fine detail gold powder. I love this little stamp which was a magazine freebie, I love all the detail in it and it stamps beautifully. I just added a little dot of red stickles for his nose :) and then matted onto red card.
As I said very quick and easy and great for batch making if you have loads of christmas cards to do at the last minute like I always seem to !

My 2nd card was probably even quicker lol (lately I haven't had any time for colouring but still need my crafting fix !) all I did was print one of the Sketchy Flowers from Digistamp Boutique onto some dp from Tactile Studio, stamp the sentiment (magazine freebie) and added diamond stickles to the image. Matted onto Kraft card.

Back soon with a couple more cards from the weekend,
Hugs, Kaz xx

Guest Book

Good Morning Everyone,
Well I am back at last, my crafting has been very sporadic of late unfortunately just been feeling so tired. I have my machine now for my sleep apnoea but it is taking me a while to get used to it. I didnt realise quite how claustrophobic I was, so far I have only managed a maximum of 2 hours before waking in a panic and literally ripping the mask off my face but I will perservere I know it will be worth it once I settle into using it.

One of few good things about not getting much sleep is that I have been managing some crafting in short bursts, and yesterday I finished decorating the Guest Book for my friends upcoming wedding so I thought I would share that with you today.

I bought a plain ivory guest book online and decorated with Noor/Joycraft foliage die-cuts, the red bobbly strings (technical term ! lol) pearl strings and chipboard words are from Love to Craft and Create and the yummy flowers are a mixture from Joycraft and ebay.
I have never decorated anything other than cards before so I was quite pleased how it turned out and my friend was over the moon with it so that was good.

Two weeks left before the wedding and I still have the table plan to do but several guest drop outs including the Best Man who decided yesterday that he can no longer do it ! mean I can't do it yet so looks like it will be a very last minute panic lol...bless her she is tearing her hair out....

I have managed quite a few cards lately so I will be back later to share one with you or maybe even two .... ;)

Bye for now and thank you all for your lovely words I appreciate it so much,

Hugs, Kaz xx

Inkylicious Fun !

Hi Everybody,
Firstly I apologise for being absent again, I have been trying to keep up with commenting but I know I haven't managed to get around to everyone's lovely blogs.

As I have mentioned before I have been having health issues for a while now (18 months of sticking my head in the sand :() but finally have the answer to why I am so tired all the time yet dont sleep more than an hour at a time at night, I recently had to do a sleep study at the hospital being monitored over 2 nights and they have diagnosed me with severe sleep apnoea....the consultant said to me that I am one of the worst he has ever seen as during the monitoring on average I stopped breathing 47 times per hour !! To be honest I have been wondering how on earth I am still here considering the amount of time I have been feeling awful now.
Anyway I am being given a machine to keep my airways open at night so that hopefully I can get a decent sleep and not be so tired during the day and to tell you the truth I am just relieved it isnt the big 'C' as I was beginning to think it was. I am now on a strict diet so wish me luck lol...I'm a chocolate addict so I'm going to struggle with that !

Well if you are still with me after all that waffle I do have a card to show you .... I ordered some Inkylicious stamps with some of my birthday money recently and they arrived at the weekend so I had a play with one of them...

I was quite pleased with it although it turned out a bit more 'tropical' than I meant it to lol, I find ink blending quite hard I have to admit. I just cant get a good technique going using the foam applicators on bigger areas so I use the Inkylicious Duster brushes now which I find a bit easier but I still tend to use hammered/textured card as I have done here. More practice is definitely needed and I have a few more new stamps to try out so you will be seeing a few more inky cards from me this week hopefully.

Thank you so much for looking today and I'm off to do some more catching up on your lovely cards !
Hugs,
Kaz xx

Birthday Sparkle

Hi Everyone,
Hope you have all been having a lovely weekend, its been gorgeous weather here until this evening and now we have a bit of a storm going on !

I managed to make a few cards this weekend, the new copy of Quick Cards arrived and the first thing that caught my eye when i was flicking through were the pretty bonus papers inside. Such gorgeous colours - pinks & aquas I could'nt wait to use them so here is the first card I made....

I mounted the patterned paper onto some scrap card before cutting out using MFT Blueprints stitched rectangle, I then adhered that panel to the card base using foam tape. The cute little fairy was a free download from a magazine (I'm not sure of the origin/designer so if anyone knows please let me know) I coloured her with Spectrum Noirs/Promarkers and added a liberal amount of Wink of Stella to the hair bows, wand and her wings, fussy cut her out and mounted her on the panel with glue gel.
Final touches were a Joanna Sheen bunting die-cut and a sentiment from CB Many mini messages set.

Thats all for now, back later with another card from the free papers :)

Special Friend

Good Morning Everyone,
Our gorgeous grandaughter stayed over with us last night and is miraculously still sleeping so while I have a few minutes of peace before my little whirlwind wakes up I thought I would just quickly post a card I made for a friends recent birthday.
I left it way too late and didnt have time for a coloured image so came up with this simple card instead,

The papers are Trimcraft 'Folk Song' and I used Clearly Besotted stamps for the sentiment...I love, love, LOVE those dotty relation stamps. The butterflies are cut from matching dp from the same pad using a CB die and then I just dotted a few crystals around. In hindsight I think clear sequins would have looked better but hey ho....

Thats all for now, thanks for visiting and your lovely comments. I love reading them all.

Spring has Sprung !

Hi Everyone,
Well spring is officially here, at least according to the single daffodil that has sprouted in our garden. Poor thing looks really lonely lol so I thought it would be the ideal time to show my last Easter card...

My card uses a Clearly Besotted stamp from the 'Just Darling' set, the polka dot paper was from Lawn Fawn 'Mon Amie' , Ribbon from stash and the sentiment was computer generated. I used distress markers to colour the image.

Thanks for visiting,

Tweet Wishes

Hi Everyone,
Hope you have all been having a great Easter/bank holiday weekend, I'm sorry I have been a bit absent again (I have still been visiting/commenting as much as possible just not managed to make anything worth showing lately )

For the past week I have tried a few times to sit and have a crafting session but everything I tried I hated and it ended up in the bin lol...I think sometimes we are our own worst enemy and become too critical. So I have given myself a slap & told myself to chill out !
Anyway in a mad rush yesterday morning I finally managed to make a few Easter cards and here is the first two which you will see are very similar, both using Pink Petticoat digi's such a shame she closed her shop :(

The first one uses Trimcraft 'Folk Song' papers which were a Hobbycraft bargain - £2 a pad and a piece of gorgeous sage green card which I found while rooting through my snippets box. I love that colour and unfortunately that was the only piece, must try and find some more online I think I got it on Ebay. The PP image comes with the sentiment and I coloured it with a mix of promarkers and spectrum noir pens and added WoS to the tiny flower on her head.

The second one I have used LOTV/Nitwits paper that were a magazine freebie, again I added WoS to the flowers on her hat and the little bow which you cant see in the pic but looked really pretty.

Thats all for now but I will be back later with my final Easter card...better late than never haha

Thanks for visiting,
Hugs,

Wedding Fever !

Hi Everyone,
I am still busy with my friend's wedding stationary, the main invitations have been finished and sent out and the evening ones are almost done ready to be sent out at the end of the month. Moving on to cutting large hearts for the table signs now and tons of tiny ones for table confetti lol, then the table plan and place cards. Really enjoying doing it but finding it quite nerve wracking getting everything exactly as they want...not sure I would be in a hurry to do it all again ;)

I'm obviously not bored of wedding stuff as todays card is a wedding one !

I used Clearly Besotted stamps 'Mr & Mrs' and 'Happily Ever After'  I love Stephanie's stamps (you might have already noticed) they stamp so beautifully every time. You can see in the top photo that I embossed the corner flourish and the wedding rings in fine gold powder onto cream hammered card which I then matted onto kraft card and then onto a white card base.

Another quick and simple card which is mainly what I seem to have the time for at the moment.
Before I go I thought I would show you a peek at the wedding invitations that I mentioned earlier.....

As you can see the theme is red, white and lots and lots of hearts ;)

Be back soon with another card, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far !

Hugs,
Kaz x

Friendship

Hi Everyone,
I cant believe its over a week since I last blogged a card, where on earth does time go ?!! They do say as you get older so time goes quicker but I need about another 4 days in a week lol

Anyway my card today uses a Pink Petticoat image I have had for ages but never used, I decided to do a stepper card using a Craftwork Cards 8 x8 stepper blank.

I kept it quite simple with LOTV papers, a Clearly Besotted butterfly which has had the wink of stella treatment (of course !) but you cant really tell in the pic, some Sue Wilson flowers and some pompom trim from The Ribbon Girl.

Thats it for now, see you again soon
Hugs,

Roses are Red......or Pink !

Hi Everyone,
I would like to start by welcoming my new followers Shaz and Di :) and to say a special thanks to Barb for the lovely comment on her fab blog that brought them to my little blog.....if I had got the hang of this linking thing I would link you but this techy idiot here has still to work that one out :(
Anyway it gives me such a buzz when I get a new lovely follower or comment, I love to read them it makes my day !

Onto my card, I have been practicing with my distress markers today (and also ordered some new colours ooops) and I'm reasonably happy with the result. The blending on the flower heads could have been a lot better but I think some of the problem might be the watercolour card I am using (I know ...A bad workman always blames his tools...lol but I do think I will try a different brand...any recommendations ?)
I used a Clearly Besotted rose stamp that was free in a magazine and did some masking to stamp it 3 times, the sentiment is from the same set. You can just see in the pic that I added a few drops of glossy accents to the petals for dew.

Well thats it for now, I'm off to visit some of your lovely blogs
See you soon,
Hugs,
Kaz x

Another Twofer

Hi Everyone,
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, it was my birthday on Friday and my daughter bought me a set of 12 distress markers :) I have wanted some for ages and couldn't wait to try them out so here are the 2 mothers day cards I made using them, I still need quite a lot of practising with them and made quite a few mistakes lol but I was quite pleased with the finished results.
Only thing is I can see that I am going to 'have' to buy some more colours shhh dont tell hubby !

The first card I made for my gorgeous daughter for her little girl to give her, she was so excited bless her, at 2 yrs old this was the first year she understood anything about it, although I must admit she was more interested in getting Mummy to open the chocolates rather than the card.....

I used one of my favourite stamps for my daughters card, it was a magazine freebie a couple of years ago and I think it was probably one of the first stamps I ever coloured up. The dp is actually the backing card from a free paper stack again from a magazine,  its been in my oddment box for ages so it was great to finally use it. I created the sentiment on my pc and used a woodware punch for the flowers.

My second card was the one I made for my MIL, again it was a freebie stamp - Crafters Companion 'Moonbeam Meadow' , the flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

I am quite pleased with the photos this time, I made myself a makeshift light tent out of some white card and its made a huge difference. Now all I need to do is sort out my watermark...I have looked online but I am so useless at anything computer/technology that so far I haven't been able to figure it out...it doesn't take much to confuse me lol

See you soon,
Hugs,
Kaz xx

Flower Set

Hi Everyone,
Today I'm sharing the other 4 cards I made to complete the little gift set for my MIL for Mother's Day.

As you can see they are all essentially the same card but the different colour distress inks and matting card make them different, you can just about see in the photos that I added my faithful WOS to the flower petals for a bit of interest.
Mum in Law loves to receive my what I call 'Frou Frou' cards lol with all the flowers, ribbon and bling but I know that she the same as most people nowadays worries about postage costs.

I seem to be doing more and more CAS cards at the moment, I love making my cards with coloured images and papers etc but unfortunately at the moment with having my grandaughter while my daughter works full time means I'm just not getting time to sit and colour and at least this way I can still have a bit of crafty time even if it is in short bursts. By the time my scrummy Freya goes home in the evening all I want to do is collapse on the sofa lol....having said that its now the weekend so I have 2 days in my craft room woohoo !

Hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned,
Hugs,
Kaz xx

Chaos, Chaos and More Chaos !

Good Afternoon,

Its been a very busy few days as my daughter and grandaughter have been moving into their own place, we will of course miss them loads but won't miss the mess and chaos that 3 adults and an extremely lively toddler crammed into a tiny 2 bed bungalow causes lol ...they have only moved to the next street in our village anyway so we will still see them lots as I look after my gorgeous grandaughter while her mum goes to work.

Anyway enough waffle, I did manage to make a couple of cards to show you.

My first card is a simple and quick Christmas card which is good for batch making if you usually make a lot (I did do just that in an attempt to not be way behind come december like I was last year) The snowflake dp is from Pink Petticoat (now sadly closed) as is the sentiment which I just printed on top. I made a bundle of these each with different colour snowflake backgrounds, different sentiments and matted on different colours so no two are the same. I added Clearly Besotted snowflake die...absolutely love that trio of dies which i coated with Wink of Stella and then dotted pearls on some of the snowflakes.

My next card is a sweet little baby card inspired by sketch 4 in Jules 'Always with a Heart' wonderful sketch library but with a few bits added...the dp is Echo Park 'Bundle of Joy'. I die cut 2 CBS scalloped tags, one in pink and one in white card, stamped the CBS onesie from the 'Little Onesie' set onto more of the dp and cut it out. They also do the matching dies but I just cut it by hand its such a simple shape and added this to the white tag, added a little flower then strung the 2 tags together and clipped on a sweet little peg I got from Hobbycraft.
The sentiment is also from CBS and I added some Sue Wilson flowers and pearls from my stash.

Before I go I would just like to say a special hello to my new followers, I really appreciate everyone's visits and lovely comments.

See you soon,
Hugs

Two for One

Hiya,
Today I have 2 cards to show, playing catch up as I meant to post one of them yesterday ! Time is just running away at the moment, can't believe we are nearly out of February already...

My first card is suitable for Mothers Day or birthday,

I have to be honest I really liked this card when I made it but now I'm really not sure.....It is missing something but I don't know what lol
Anyway I used a Papermania stamp stamped with Distress Ink, the DP is from Tactile Studio (I think its had a name change now)  Sentiment is LOTV and flowers, pearl, lace and pin are from my stash.

My second card is a Digistamp Boutique image - Alf/Dads Shed, I loved colouring him and was pretty pleased how he turned out. Its quite a large easel card 8 x 8 but I have kept it simple with just LOTV papers, some scrim and some natural twine.

Thats all for now, thank you for looking and for all the lovely comments I have been getting they really make my day !

Hugs,
Kaz x

I'm still here !!

Hi Everyone,

Finally back, have had a bit of nightmare few weeks healthwise, added to that our camera gave up the ghost and when we got a new one we discovered that my oldish PC didnt recognise the sd card so we then had to send off for the lead to go with it....can you tell I'm not good with technology ?! On the plus side the new camera seems to take much nicer pics so once I have got used to it.....

Anyway while I have been MIA I have been doing a bit of crafting so I have got a couple of cards to show you, no colouring on these so they were really quick makes.

The first one is my hubby's valentine card

I used the same Impression Obsession die that I have been using to make my friends wedding invites, I made a 5.5" square blank from kraft card then I cut the die from a slightly narrower panel of kraft card which I then matted onto black card. I went over all the spaces in the die cut with Wink of Stella and coloured one of the 'waste' hearts with my poppy red promarker and gave it a coat of glossy accents. The photos show the shine and sparkle quite well I think.....unfortunately the photos also show the dirty great fingerprint in the top righthand corner which hubby made when he opened it ! I had forgotten to take a pic before I sealed it :(
The sentiment was from the CBS Many Mini Messages set which I love.

My second card is using a Memory Box die which I have had for ages but never used,

I die cut the flower (it comes as one die that cuts the flowers together) which I then cut into a 4" square panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mini Messages. Then on a smaller offcut of white card I sponged some distress inks...Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade and Bundled Sage which I then mounted the flower square onto, this was then matted onto peach card and the whole thing then popped up on foam pads in the centre of a 6 x 6 blank.
I enjoyed doing this card so much, partly because it was a quick make but quite effective, that I made more in different colours with different sentiments and I'm intending to give them in a little set to my mum-in-law for mother's day. I will post the others later today.

I intend to spend the weekend in my craft room so I will definitely be back soon with a few more cards to show you,

See you all soon,
Hugs,

Little Bit of Gossip

Hi Everyone,

I love this image so much, I think I have probably coloured it in most colour combos now. I decided to make it into a little easel card this time.

I used LOTV papers layered onto teal blue card although the light makes it look black :( The image is coloured with Promarkers and the wings have lots of WoS of course ! Then all I added was a Memory Box butterfly and a doily, the little flowers were done with a Woodware punch. The little teal and aqua pearls I bought from someone on a FB group.

I thought I would also show you one of first attempts at enamelling which I started recently

This was fired onto a copper blank using translucent powder and millefiori 'slices' I'm pleased with it but know I have to do some practising as at the moment I cant seem to figure out how to stop it shrinking slightly from the edges and looking a little distressed. I have found some colours do this a lot more than others so its a case of trial and error really.....

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend with lots of crafting !
Hugs,

Gorgeous Bride - All dressed Up

Hi
My first card today is using a lovely free All Dressed Up digi stamp - Gorgeous Bride, she was lovely to colour. I used Promarkers/Spectrum Noirs and of course added lots of Wink of Stella (you might have noticed I add that to practically every card I make now I LOVE it) to the flowers, the bow on her dress and the veil you can just make it out in the first darker pic.
The papers used are from a BoBunny pad free with a magazine and the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. Ribbon and lace from my stash. Sentiment is Clearly Besotted.

After a lot of deliberation (talking myself out of it lol) I have decided to enter this in the All Dressed Up Blog Challenge/DT call that is on at the moment. edited: Seems I deliberated a little too long as I missed the closing by 10 mins boohoo....

Will be back with another card in a bit,

Broken resolution already !

Hi Everyone,
Well I have broken my second New Years resolution already which was that I would post on here daily...oops :(  Having a few health issues at the moment and my motivation is suffering a bit but hubby says I need to spend time in my craft room and relax so who am I to argue lol

I did manage to sit down at the beginning of the week and make a few cards so here is the first one

This card is made using 'Ralph - Par-fect Day' from Digistamp Boutique, I love these images and have a few of them, they are wonderful to colour and this one also comes with a great sentiment 'Have a Par-fect Day' although I haven't used it on this card.
I used Promarkers/Spectrum Noirs to colour and the papers are LOTV (such a shame they have decided to stop selling their paper pads :( ) The little tag shape sentiment is from stampingallday.co.uk which is a brilliant company for individual sentiments, personalised ones etc

My next card is another DB image, this time a christmas one 'Snow Family'

Not a brilliant photo but you can make out a bit of the sparkle on there, the image was coloured with Promarkers and I added Diamond Stickles to the snow and presents, Wink of Stella was used on their hats and scarves and also on the white snowflake.
The snowflake dies I used are from Clearly Besotted as is the sentiment which I heat embossed in silver superfine WOW powder. The papers are Pink Petticoat and ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Next I made a couple of quick male cards for my box at my slimming group...

I had been diecutting some star flourishes and these stars are the 'waste' I had put them in a little pot on my desk and then I saw these Clearly Besotted sentiments when I was looking through my stash for something else, twenty minutes later I had made these two lol

I made up a couple of A6 card bases with some royal blue card I bought on Ebay, the stitched rectangle die used is an MFT blueprint one, the sentiments are stamped with pigment ink then clear embossed and I have added a touch of Wink of Stella to the stars for a bit of sparkle.
I always struggle with male cards but I was actually really pleased with how these turned out, a nice quick and simple card, I just hope they dont look a bit too simple !

Well if you are still here with me after all that waffle thank you so much for looking and if you can bear any more I will be back later with a few more cards ;)

Hugs,
Kaz x
